Mineral Due Diligence & Buyer Protection

Independent Verification. Informed Decisions. Responsible Mineral Sourcing.

Independent supplier verification, mineral inspection coordination, transaction risk assessment and operational support for buyers sourcing minerals across African markets.

Who this is for

Independent support before you commit funds

Bychem Industries helps international buyers, investors, trading companies, refineries, manufacturers and industrial consumers assess mineral sourcing opportunities in Africa before they commit funds. We act only as an independent service provider. Bychem does not trade, purchase, resell, broker or take title to minerals under this service.

No supplier is ever described as approved, licensed or fraud-free because an application was submitted or documents were uploaded. Our reports state exactly what was verified, what was not, and the limits of each check.
Why it matters

Common mineral transaction risks

Sellers without authority to sell or export

Stock that does not exist or is not as described

Origin and ownership documents that cannot be verified

Quality and purity claims not supported by independent testing

Advance-payment and fee structures that shift risk to the buyer

Sanctions, AML and responsible sourcing exposure

Our approach

Our independent verification approach

Every claim is tested against evidence from a stated source, using a recorded method, by a named person, on a recorded date. Limitations and open questions are reported alongside each finding, and every report is reviewed by a second person before release.

  • Claims checked against primary sources where feasible
  • Evidence references traceable in every report
  • Laboratory results described as independent only when independence is established
  • Third-party costs approved by you before they are incurred
  • Separation of duties for approvals and report release

Reporting

Reporting and risk classification

Each report separates verified information, partially verified information, unverified claims and concerning inconsistencies, and assigns one of four classifications with a written justification and scope limitation.

Lower identified risk
Moderate identified risk
High identified risk
Inconclusive

Risk classifications reflect only the checks completed and do not guarantee transaction safety.

Frequently asked questions

Does Bychem buy or sell minerals?
No. Bychem Industries provides independent due diligence, buyer protection and operational support services only. We do not trade, purchase, resell, broker or take title to minerals.
Does submitting an application mean my assignment is accepted?
No. Every application is screened first, including client identity and compliance checks. We will tell you whether we can accept the assignment before any fee is requested.
What does the preliminary engagement fee cover?
It covers only the preliminary services defined in your Operations Agreement: onboarding, initial transaction review, preliminary supplier checks, an initial risk assessment, preparation of a working plan and defined preliminary reporting. Travel, field inspections, laboratory testing, security, export processing and other third-party costs are not included.
Will you confirm that a supplier is legitimate?
We report what we were able to verify, what we could only partly verify, what remains unverified and any inconsistencies we found. A risk classification reflects only the checks completed and never guarantees that a transaction is safe.
