How it works — Mineral Due Diligence | Bychem

From application to final report

Each stage has a defined prerequisite. Contractual and financial approvals cannot be skipped, and you can follow every stage in your client portal.

Register and apply

Create a client account and describe the proposed transaction, mineral, country and supplier.

Screening

We review the request and complete identity, KYC/KYB and conflict checks. We may decline or ask for more information.

Preliminary fee

If accepted, we invoice the preliminary engagement fee. Payment is confirmed only after verification.

Operations Agreement

You review and sign an agreement setting out scope, exclusions, fees, confidentiality and limitations.

Working plan

We prepare an assignment-specific plan with checks, schedule and estimated third-party costs for your approval.

Verification

Document review, supplier checks and, where approved, field visits, sampling and laboratory coordination.

Review and report

Findings are risk-classified, quality-reviewed by a second person and issued as a written report.

Follow-up

You download your report and documents from the portal and can discuss next steps with your case manager.

Registration and submitting a request do not mean that Bychem has accepted an assignment. If a request is outside our capability, legal remit or risk appetite we will tell you during screening.
